Once you’ve received your windows and doors they should be stored in a clean dry area where they won’t get damaged. During the installation process should any cement, plaster, paint or any other droppings fall onto the aluminium frame, make sure it’s cleaned immediately with a clean sponge and water to minimise any damage. If left to dry; it will make it harder to remove and may cause scratching and will damage the finish.

A good way of preventing this is to put a plastic wrap around the aluminium. However, when left in the sun for a period of time it can be difficult to remove. We suggest plastic wrap to be left on for no longer than 3 months.

Sliding tracks should be kept clean during/after construction; otherwise build up of dust/debris will eventually cause difficulty for the rollers to run smoothly.

Please note Rainbow’s guarantee is void when acids from cleaning the brickwork are left on the aluminium.  If this is to occur it is to be washed off immediately with clean water.

We recommend cleaning your powder-coated windows and doors every 6 months to remove grime/dirt build-up and keep the finish looking like new.  If you’re located in an industrial or coastal area, clean more frequently.

To clean use a soft clothe or sponge with warm water and a mild detergent.  Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any residue.

Note: do not use strong solvents, as this will damage the powder coating.
